5 Easy Computer Pranks For April Fools

Here am I, flowing tens of balloons to fill a friend of mine's room tomorrow and celebrate April Fools with some funzies. As I grew tired of blowing (pun intended), I decided why not share some last minute pranks I've been collecting over the years.
Naturally, If you're reading this you have no more time for some big scale jokes, but there are numerous things you can do tomorrow that will annoy the heck out of your victim.
The easiest target is always the computer. There is not a possible scenario they wont check their mail or Facebook at least once, so it will most certainly work. Also, the computer requires no more than 20 minutes of slicing and dicing to become absolutely unusable in the funniest possible way.

The Icon Prank

Yes, I'm aware most of you know this one already, but it's always a good option if you want to troll your victim's desktop. However, I'm pretty sure you haven't yet thought of how to push it to the maximum limit.
First off, steal their laptop or wait for the to go AFK. Screenshot they desktop, so you know how it originally looked like.
Decide which icons you want to stay or not, but definitely delete the most important ones like: the browser, their most played game, messenger of choice or software they use regularly.
Now go ahead and swap all of the short cuts with one another, do it in a random order, so that it's not oto obvious where everything is after the first few trial and errors.
Take out your screenshot and start renaming the short cuts and changing the icons, so that they match the original layout and order, but open entirely different applications.
This is easily fixable, but it will take them at least fifteen minutes and will annoy them to death – there is nothing more irritating than ordering your desktop.

The Grand Budapest Hotel guide to Eastern Europe

Director Wes Anderson’s highly anticipated latest creation, TheGrand Budapest Hotel, boasts an all-
star cast including Ralph Fiennes, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe and Jude Law. This 1930s caper is set in an imaginary Eastern European principality called Zubrowka, in the striking pink alpine hotel that lends its name to the title.

Whilst you may not be able to visit Zubrowka in real life, the movie presents a glimpse into the ambience of some of Eastern Europe’s most historic destinations and a sense of nostalgia for a time between the two world wars, when the region thrived and flourished. To learn more about the movie and its inspirations, here’s a look into some key destinations for The Grand Budapest Hotel tour of Eastern Europe.

Berlin, Germany

Berlin was not only the launch-pad of the movie, which opened at the city’s film festival, but it was also one of the key filming locations. Visitors to the city can enjoy their own tour to learn about the city’s colourful history.

Learn about the East/West split at the Berlin Wall by visiting Checkpoint Charlie, where many East Berliners tried to escape to the West. The monumental Brandenburg Gate has been a key site for a number of major historical events and is one of the city’s most impressive landmarks – it’s now seen as a symbol of Germany’s tumultuous past as well as European peace and unity.

Elizabet Báthory - The Most Prolific Female Serial Killer

Elizabeth Bathory Portrait
A Portrait
A few months back I was on a mini Euro Trip. We visited Vienna, Krakow, Bratislava, the Wieliczka Salt mine, a few other smaller cities and at the end we had a bonus trip to Budapest. All beautiful places and the tour guide was a brilliant old lady, which could answer every question you ask. Brilliant! When we went passed by Čachtice Castle in Slovakia she told us the story about Elizabeth Báthory. The thing that grabbed my attention was the part with the hundreds of girls dead and how Elizabeth bathed in their blood. I thought it was a fiction or just a story for the tourists, but when I did a little research, things were very real.

They call her the Blood Countess. And it's a very reasonable name.

You may heard she is related to Count Dracula and that that connection caused her bloodthirst. Or there is a story which says her childhood nurse was practising black magic and liked to sacrifice little children. But that's not all - her aunt was a witch, her uncle a devil worshipper and her brother a paedophile. Now that's a classy family tree. Of course, these stories are all made up.

Patrick Brown is an amazing illustration artist, who takes popular characters from video games, movies and TV shows and adds his little personality twist to them all, while keeping them in character. They are all fantastic and I urge you to check them all out right here:

Yet A New iPhone

As usual, the stereotypes are true to the bone. The new phone is bigger,  but only slightly in size. The biggest difference is the screen. It's bigger and better.  Other than that...well...

Morning Showers As A Means Of Meditation

The modern world and digital era, although full of benefits, also brings a negative impact to us. It's always the lack of time, the fast-paced life, the technology that always connects us to something, the distractions that keeps us from focusing.
It's hard to be alone with yourself. We hardly even have time to look at ourselves in the mirror, let alone focus on our soles.
Meditation is something now spoken of as if a term for a past time – a forgotten practice, replaced by status updates, apps, chats and TV channels. We can't seem to help our bodies, let alone our souls.
For the past couple of years, many people have told me I take too much time in the shower, as I generally take at least thirty minutes for the daily wash.

Hated Films You Really Love

One thing I've learned in this life is that people have different opinions about everything. Specially movies and music. Even the closest beings have their differences. You might think Star Wars is outstanding, but your bestest friend, who you've known for 20 years, says it's crap and it's the worst thing ever to come out on the big screen. Everyone has such dissimilar tastes and that's okay.

Olivia Wilde Tron Legacy
Very Wilde
There are some movies which were rubbish by most standards. Critics and the general audience hated them. Yet, I bet you are secretly in love with them and you still re-watch them every now and then.

Meow Meow and Other Horrific Drugs

We all love browsing the internet. We love to check out some news sites, browse Reddit and see some funny articles and pictures. Every now and then you see some really bizarre and shocking story you just feel obligated to share.

At the beginning of this year a horrific accident occurred in the United Kingdom. A 19-year-old lad stabbed his mother and to make things even more interesting he cut off his peepee. It is said that this strange action happened thanks to a drug called Meow Meow.

It sound cute and fluffy. You might even think of Colonel Meow or the beloved cabaret star with the same name. But this has nothing to do with it. The drug's real name is Mephedrone and you might have heard it as Drone or MCAT.

Colonel Meow
It's not as popular as other poisons on the market, but it has similar effects as amphetamines, ecstasy or cocaine. But probably thanks to this news story people will be looking for it in dark alleys. You know what they say - "There is no such thing as bad publicity". And drug dealers were probably just waiting for something similar to happen.

The story made me think about other weird and horrific drugs. So I decided to make a small list of really dangerous substances which made the news with some monstrous stories.

Using Content Marketing to Build Brand Trust

For the people who are dealing with some SEO, this article will be in great use. This is probably one of the most successful methods to do SEO at the moment. With all the updates Google has introduced so far, you can forget that spam is a viable tactic to get long term results. Instead, content is the perfect solution to both bring the users value and get some of it for yourself as well.

Leonardo Dodging The Oscar Once Again

So, the Oscars ended and Leonardo still hasn't received the academy award.
Out of this a few questions in mind of the general public. I'm not a huge movie lover and especially no critic, but  I've seen quite enough to have a general opinion on the matter, so let's say I'm the  general public right now.

Leonardo DiCaprio's Portrait out of pictures of Oscar-winning celebrities.

But first on to some statistics - Leonardo has been nominated 5 times for an academy award throughout his career:
