This cute creation  of Andy Plant and Tim Hunkin has been a special feature of Shorts Gardens since the early 80's. The property itself is a Holland and Barrett health shop at the moment. It is a bit sad but the clock does not work properly right now..

At the time when it was in full working order water used to fall down the wall every 60 minutes and thus filling 5 cans, held by the figures at the bottom. All except one water a plant. It is the  fifth one that pores water either down on the street either upon your head.

One of the best things about the internet is how people connect. If you are a fan of Star Wars now you can find millions of fans and communicate with them and share your beliefs. So thanks to such communities and connections, fan theories became a thing. And some Internet users are far more creative than others.

Now there are tons of fan theories about different theories around the web. But some are better than others. Some are actually better than the movies themselves. You start wondering whether the writers and directors of the flicks planned those things, or that the dudes behind the theory are so deep in to the plot, they want more and they create a new world.

Here are some of the best movie theories I found:

Pulp Fiction's Briefcase

One of the best Tarantino films ever created. This movie was not just another flick, but it created a whole new culture. Even today, after 20 years, people still love to dress as Vega and Winnfield for Halloween or simply cosplaying.

But have you head about the briefcase theory? Jules and Vincent retrieve a briefcase. They had to deliver it to their boss Marcellus. Nothing extraordinary so far.

Have you noticed how at the end Jules didn't want to give the briefcase to Pumpkin? He was willing to give him money and everything else, but not the briefcase. And when it was opened, we saw a weird "beautiful" glow.

The theory is that Marcellus Wallace has sold his soul to the devil and his two thugs had the job to retrieve it. The password to the briefcase is 666, which the number of the beast, and that makes the theory even more plausible. Maybe that strip on Marcellus' neck is another hint for the fans.

The Tarantino Universe

Speaking of Pulp Fiction, there is another theory connected with Tarantino. It's says that each of Quentin's  films is connected and the characters live in the same universe.

And there are facts to prove that. The theory says that Mr. Blond and Vincent Vega are brothers, Lee Donowitz (True Romance) is the son of Donny Donowitz (from Inglorious Basterds), and there are a lot more characters with the same last names in different movies. Some of them are in the main roles, others are just mentioned. But the acknowledge of the existence of such people is what makes the theory possible.

This pretty much sums up what the Darwin Awards are. In order to qualify for the award you have to be either dead or lost the ability to reproduce. Thus helping the human gene pool, by removing your idiotic self and help the species. It sounds kind of cruel, but when you read the examples, you'll understand why the authors created the awards.

In order to get published, the deeds have to be incredibly idiotic. It has to be humorous and to be true. Every nomination is verified before entering. Some are nominated as fiction, because there are no eyewitnesses or no news reports. Still, they are amusing, so they deserve a bit of attention. Also, nominees have to be mentally stable.

Pop Culture References in Dexter's Lab You Didn't Know About

For most people from my generation, when you think of your childhood, the most memorable things were the cartoons. We loved them so much, we still watch them from time to time. And which were the best ones? Courage The Cowardly dog, SpongeBob, Johnny Bravo, the three Eds, Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, Batman, Spider-man, Rugrats, Looney tunes... Actually there were tons of high-quality animations.

Heck, I will continue - Samurai Jack, Powerpuff Girls, Pokemon, Swat Kats, Digimon, Eek! The cat, Kids next door, Cow and Chicken, I am Weasel, Iron Man... okay I'll stop. It's just so many.

But one cartoon will always be my favourite - Dexter's Laboratory. It just brings all the nerdy things I love in one place. It had so many references and hidden jokes, it took me years to figure out. A few months back I was on a mini Euro Trip. We visited Vienna, Krakow, Bratislava, the Wieliczka Salt mine, a few other smaller cities and at the end we had a bonus trip to Budapest. All beautiful places and the tour guide was a brilliant old lady, which could answer every question you ask. Brilliant! When we went passed by Čachtice Castle in Slovakia she told us the story about Elizabeth Báthory. The thing that grabbed my attention was the part with the hundreds of girls dead and how Elizabeth bathed in their blood. I thought it was a fiction or just a story for the tourists, but when I did a little research, things were very real.

They call her the Blood Countess. And it's a very reasonable name.

You may heard she is related to Count Dracula and that that connection caused her bloodthirst. Or there is a story which says her childhood nurse was practising black magic and liked to sacrifice little children. But that's not all - her aunt was a witch, her uncle a devil worshipper and her brother a paedophile. Now that's a classy family tree. Of course, these stories are all made up.

Don't think only about journalists, writers and big branded sites. Even the regular user is a content creator. You took three pictures with your mobile phone today, you uploaded it to Facebook or Tumblr and now you have 10 or 20 likes, shares and the numbers are growing. You created something original, people are seeing it.

In 1585 a law was passed that announced scolding in a public for an offence and was persecuted to the law. As unbelievable as it may sound, there was even punishment for the ones that scolded. The "cold-hearted" criminals had to wear a scolder's bridle or in some cases - a metal cage around their head. Some sources indicate of a third punishment for scolding. It was called "the ducking chair". As you might have already guessed, the offenders were strapped to a chair and then repeatedly ducked in water.
